Bajaj abstract named best in liver category by ACG

At its recent meeting, the American College of Gastroenterology deemed an oral presentation by Institute faculty member Jasmohan Bajaj, M.D., the conference’s best liver abstract.

“Rifaximin Monotherapy Is More Effective Than Lactulose Monotherapy for Reducing the Risk of Overt Hepatic Encephalopathy (OHE) Recurrence and All-Cause Mortality: An Analysis of Two Randomized Trials” was given the ACG Outstanding Research Award in the liver category. The association also promoted the abstract to media outlets, resulting in coverage of the abstract, presented Oct. 28, by Healio.
